Buccaneer and a MAC

Just making innovation happen. The multi touch pad is really awesome. Can you imagine using your fingers to just about anything. Imagine enlarging text, rotating images and flipping web pages all with your finger gestures on the multi touch trackpad. The newly updated macbook pro has got the multi touch trackpad and is sold at the same price, while there were serious speculations on getting the price hike.

Picture pinch, which made the iphone famous is now a feature of the macbook pro too.  You can also swipe your fingers to browse images in your gallery.

The macbook air has been moved out of the front page of apple website for the first time since the macworld expo. The page now sports a splendid news for all new mac aspirants. The macbook and the macbook pro have been updated and the macs now come with the latest intel core 2 duo processors.

The macbook2 and the macbook pro1 are the coolest deals in the planet.
There were also huge upgradres in the macbook pro. The table below gives a better picture. The values in braces are old ones.

In what is considered great technology, i use to be amazed at the mac. The touchpad already has been amazing and apple just calls it basic gestures. Now they are planning to introduce advanced gestures. you may want to see a few pictures from macrumoours

A patent has been filed by apple in the same and so we may expect the technology to enter the macbooks or the future apple notebooks, and then it will really be advanced gestures. The usage of the thumb and also the usage of adjacent fingers are totally new.

The lastest macbooks now come with a 2.2 ghz processor, more. These are the best notebooks on earth today, and this processor speed should suffice. Now intel is taking on the next foot forward and building faster processors. The next gen processors will carry a massive 3.0 GHz processors, and these chips will easily slip inside macbooks.

These chips will be released any where in the next four weeks and hence serious heads in apple are making thoughts about releasing the next version of the apple macbook pro.

Mac is awesome and comes with pre-installed software with the leopard OS. Leopard OS saw a record 300 new apps, making it really the OS of this year. Windows users are not quite ahppy upgrading their systems with vista.

I know leopard comes with a lot of software, yet you may want to install more of your choice and play with them. Here is a list of top 100 mac apps, which are useful for you. For those critics, who complain mac apps are rarely found, this links would make them dumb.

The macworld expo 2008 saw the release of the apple macbook air, claiming it as the thinnest laptop in the world. The electronics had shrunk by more than 60% and Steve Jobs was  seen thanking engineers at Intel for making the same happen.

While there were so much speculations about the new battery and the replacement facilities, i was wondering why one would even need to think about changing the battery so soon. I mean, you just buy a new laptop, the battery can supply power for almost six hours and why should one want to change it?

For all those who were wondering about replacing their own battery, the macbook air battery can be replaced and that too in minutes. But is the macbok air really worth the money?

Apple Inc, announced its first quarter results today and no doubt the event grabbed a lot of eyes. Having introduced the iphone last year and exapnding the iphone in various geographies, apple as been well in the business. Also 2007, saw a way high 40% increase in the sales of mac.

Yours truly will join the list of new mac buyers in 2008. i ll blog about next year

Apple reported a $9.6 billion and a profit of $1.58 billion this quarter.  This quarter is fine, but the real challenge is in the next quarter, where the pricey apple macbook air’s performance still lies uncertain.

Its not a long time, since the release of the latest OS X, leopard. The most significant release of the OS X, saw over 300 new features released and most of them have been just used and tested in real time.

I hate windows for the code is written badly, as everybody understands. I hate it even more when i require to make windows updates, and it comes so often.

This is not the case for apple, where a new version is released rather than updates. This second new version will see over 100 fixes.

On a ironic note, you can also run leopard in windows.

Make your linux dsktop look like a mac one. We all know a mac interface is ultra cool and stylish. It is also very handy to launch applicaitons or perform tasks, a few clicks should suffice.

Mac4Lin is a open source project hosted at sourceforge and it aims at bringing your linux desktop nearest to the mac one in terms of appearance. Earlier i had written about making the windows desktop in to a mac like one, but it was much safer because it used the personalizations separately. The dock was a separate program, which you used in windows. This may not be that safe.

Issued only for advanced linux users.

The whole world witnessed the apple macworld expo release the new macbook air and claim it the world’s thinnest laptop. Quite true! It was indeed innovation to bring in the screen and the harddisk to a new dmension and was in fact very stylish.

Do you really buy that style for $1799?

Take a look at the asus eee, from asus, which is lighter than this macbook (only 2lbs), because it does not have a permanent hard disk.  We found a very detailed comparison here.
