Buccaneer and a MAC

For those folks running bootcamp or parallels and somehow using the stupid operating system on your mac, you may want to add some security by trying the new service pack from Microsoft. But most service packs tend to be more dangerous than the system without the pack.

Last month, the latest build of the service pack 3 (sp3) for windows xp was released and open for testers. Now, a second version has been released, hopefully they have rectified more bugs.  Take a look at why vista service pack is harmful.

Its been an year since the release of the latest version of windows. Windows vista did not bring in a lot of new features.  Most users felt they just copied the aqua from the OS X.

But where did the heaviness did it into the pattern? why did vita need a lot of memory? I know that most vista migrations came in with a system upgrade as well.

Is it a great success story for windows and Microsoft? I would directly say a “NO” . Microsoft really needs to bring in some more innovation at least in its next release to bring in some thing, that extra thing…

 I am so glad to hear this, and i am even more happy to write a post on this. Yes, throw vista operating system and go for open source ubuntu. It is free, including shipping and is amazing.

You should also try out the KDE version of the ubuntu, called the kubuntu. It is ultra cool with its aqua interface and no operating system can match that.

In a featured article by mythbuster, he quotes that vista comes with a lot of unnecessary software which he will probably never use. And also suggests ubuntu.

For all those windows lovers, who understand that windows is not secure and still love it, use linux. They are still used to the windows style of operations and feel in a hostile environment, when they work on a mac or an linux machine.

To help those guys, here is a good implementation, i love the idea of an open source product any time. Can you imagine windows for free? Windows and that too 100% non-microsoft code.

Hardly imaginable, yet true!! Wine is one such product, which can help you use a free version of windows on linux!!

They just copy things!! Be it a browser or a operating system. They brought in tabs only after all the major browsers had the functionality of tabs. Firefox had it for a very long time. Now that i know they just copy, i am sure to see session and open recently closed tabs in IE8.

But on a ironic manner,Microsoft claims that the next version of Internet explorer, IE8, will be the most standards complaint browser.  That is funny because IE has been the least standard browser, one has ever witnessed so far.

Here is an example of a bad browser, and one which was made only by copycats. They simply don’t think!!!

Of all things in the world, one of the last things that i would admit is that windows is more secure than linux. But this is what is being claimed by dear microsoft. On a web release, last week, microsoft security agents released a report which showed that Vista had seen lesser attacks than other oprtaing systems like xp and ubuntu. How dare he says ubuntu is less secure than vista? Really funny!!! This story was made fun of by gizmodo.

One another critic also made a funny note on how stupid ie is better than firefox. This is even more intolerable!!

It sounds hard to beleive, but it is true. Mac OS X leopard has been hacked and now you can run leopard on your pc. the greatest news is that you do not have to buy a mac to run the leopard OS, which is extremely rich in apps. Just take a look at the mac osx features and you will know why leopard is simply great.

Hackers have developed a  patched DVD, which you can download and use the same to install OSX in your PC. While critics claim that the OS runs on a superior hardware configuration, which is true, running the leopard on a PC is infact a great HACK. Now that macbooks can run windows and also in parallel using software like parallels, it is great if a windows pc can run leopard.

The installation seems to be very easy too.  try it out.
